— The Challenge
For most parts of the year, Stockholm hasn’t been blessed with too many hours of sunshine a day. Averaging under 1hr of daily sunshine in the month of December, Swedes needs to be prepared to soak up some sun during the winter months whenever it comes.
Follow the Sun would help locals to prepare for coming times of sunshine. Users can get notified for coming sunshine while it’s grey and get suggestion of things to do in town when it is sunny.

— The Design
Translating the physical experience to color — a pallete of vivid colors were chosen to signify the different weather conditions.
The typography is clear and informative, where predictions and information are kept in a sharp grotesque while the recommendations are in a softer serif.

In order to display forecasts in a clear and focused way, the application was designed with a minimal approach that included clean typography, lots of white space and bright background colors.


Integrated real time weather suited recommendations are easily filtered and can be easily explored for further information.
